I’d been away for a few days and also the weather continued its gloomy theme. You know what its like –there are some days when you just don’t want to know how little your panels are producing (although it’s quite impressive how much they still generate despite the murk) – and busy travelling around so solar is not first thing on your mind.

I was at the launch of the National Solar centre last week. It was held in the grandeur of the Academy for Engineering just off Pall Mall and Greg Barker (Climate Change Minister) came along between Parliamentary debates to give it his blessing – so it must be important and I’m glad I was there. We expect your panels were probably bought with at least the next 10 years in mind. So the website is here for the long term to support its users and would hope that early on in its life we do not have too many problems to solve. Its first goal is to build a big database so our users can have ever more accurate and reliable benchmarks to assess how their panels are performing over time.
